Payments & Subscription Terms

These Payment & Subscription Terms apply to paid features available on the MyCityPulse platform, including Directory subscriptions and optional post Boosts.
Payments are processed through secure third-party providers such as PayPal or Stripe.
Directory Listings – Subscription Terms
Subscription Plans
Certain Directory listing features require a paid subscription (“Featured Listings”).
Available plans, features, and pricing are displayed within the MyCityPulse dashboard or checkout interface at the time of purchase.
Plans may include different feature levels such as:
• Featured Listings
• Featured Plus Listings
• Enterprise Listings
• Other promotional or premium tiers introduced in the future
All pricing, billing intervals, and included features are clearly displayed before payment is completed.
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal.
A confirmation and receipt will be provided directly by the payment processor.
Subscription Activation
Access to paid Directory features begins after payment approval by the payment provider.
Once activated:
• Your listing is upgraded immediately
• Paid features associated with the selected plan become available
• The subscription is tied to the specific listing selected during checkout
Subscription Management
Directory subscriptions are managed through the payment provider used during purchase.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your payment provider account.
Important details:
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• Paid features remain active until the billing period ends
• After expiration, the listing automatically reverts to the Free plan
MyCityPulse does not offer prorated refunds or credits for unused subscription time.
Renewal & Billing
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
Billing details:
• Billing frequency: monthly
• Charges are processed by the payment provider using the payment method on file
• MyCityPulse does not store full payment card details
If a payment fails:
• The payment provider may retry according to their policies
• If billing ultimately fails, the subscription may be suspended or canceled
• Listings associated with a canceled subscription will revert to the Free plan
Upgrades
Upgrading to a higher-tier plan takes effect immediately.
When an upgrade occurs:
• The current subscription is replaced
• A new billing cycle begins for the upgraded plan
• Billing adjustments are handled by the payment provider
Refund Policy
All subscription fees are non-refundable, including:
• partial billing periods
• unused time
• cancellations made before the end of a billing cycle
This policy applies regardless of usage, results, or outcomes.
Price Changes
Subscription pricing may be updated periodically.
When pricing changes occur:
• existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days advance notice
• pricing changes will not affect the current billing period
• continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing
Taxes
Users are responsible for any applicable taxes related to subscription purchases.
Where required by law, MyCityPulse may collect and remit taxes on your behalf.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you experience a billing issue, please contact MyCityPulse through the Contact page before initiating a chargeback.
Unresolved chargebacks or payment disputes may result in:
• suspension or cancellation of subscriptions
• downgrade or removal of associated listings
• temporary or permanent account restrictions
Service Availability
Subscription features are provided “as is.”
MyCityPulse may modify, suspend, or discontinue subscription offerings at any time.
If a paid feature is discontinued, reasonable efforts will be made to notify subscribers.
My Boost – Paid Visibility Feature
What My Boost Is
My Boost is an optional paid feature that allows a user to temporarily increase the visibility of an existing post by moving it toward the top of content listings at the moment the Boost is applied.
Boosting a post does not:
• extend the post’s active duration
• change the post’s expiration date
• guarantee views, responses, or outcomes
• alter the content, category, or eligibility rules of the post
Boosting only affects the ordering of posts at the moment it is applied.
Eligibility
Only the original creator of a post may apply a Boost to that post.
Boosting is available for most post types. Directory listings are excluded.
Posts must be active and compliant with platform rules at the time of Boost.
MyCityPulse reserves the right to restrict or disable Boost for posts that violate platform policies or applicable laws.
Pricing & Payment
Each Boost is a one-time paid action.
• The price of a Boost is displayed at the time of purchase
• Each Boost must be purchased individually
• There are no subscriptions, credits, or bundled Boost packages
Boost prices may change at any time.
No Refunds
All Boost purchases are final.
Once a Boost payment is processed:
• the Boost is applied immediately
• no refunds, reversals, or credits will be issued
This applies regardless of:
• visibility results
• engagement levels
• post expiration
• post removal due to policy violations
• user error
Boost purchases are for temporary placement priority only and do not guarantee performance outcomes.
Boost Duration & Visibility
Boost does not last for a fixed period of time.
A boosted post remains near the top of listings until:
• another post is published after it, or
• another Boost is applied to a different post
As new content is added, boosted posts naturally move down the listing order.
Abuse & Misuse
MyCityPulse may remove boosted posts, disable Boost access, or suspend accounts if Boost is used to:
• circumvent posting rules
• promote prohibited content
• spam or mislead users
• violate platform policies or laws
No refunds will be provided in cases of enforcement action.
Limitation of Liability
MyCityPulse is not responsible for:
• lack of responses or engagement
• financial losses or missed opportunities
• outcomes related to visibility or ranking
Boost is used at the user’s discretion and risk.
Acceptance
By purchasing or using My Boost, you agree to these terms as part of the MyCityPulse Terms of Service.
